The NZEB Knowledge Series was launched in May 2019. This provides a platform for industry experts to share knowledge and expertise through weekly live webinars about energy efficiency and NZEBs. Past webinars have featured sustainability veterans like Ashok Lall from ABL Architects, Sanjay Prakash from ShiFt, Guruprakash Sastry from Infosys and many more. WorldGBC releases roadmap to 100% Net Zero Carbon buildings
The World Green Building Council's Advancing Zero project has laid down a roadmap for all new buildings to achieve the 100% net zero carbon mark by 2030, followed by all existing buildings by 2050. A net zero carbon building is an energy-efficient building, fully powered by on-site or off-site renewable power. More
California gets its first net-zero energy residential community
City Square, a net-zero energy condominium community in Irvine, California, sets a new benchmark for energy-efficient homes. The Energy 3.2 star certified project provides all modern features and design, along with high-performance insulation and windows, heat pump water heater and dryer and rooftop photovoltaic system. LBC shows the way for affordable housing projects to target net-zero
The Living Building Challenge has developed a framework for net-zero affordable housing based on pilot programs across different climate zones in United States. It outlines the opportunities for these projects in doing away with energy and water billls. More
World's largest Clean Energy Storage project announced
In western United States, a comparatively lower power demand on several days poses a roadblock to 100% clean power production. The Advanced Clean Energy Project aims to solve this by providing 100 MW of storage using a combination of technologies. More
About USAID MAITREE Program
USAID-led Market Integration and Transformation for Energy Efficiency program (MAITREE) is a four-year bilateral program with the Ministry of Power. MAITREE supports efforts for moving towards a super-efficient and Net Zero Energy target for new buildings. EDS is the implementing partner of this program.
