Grid-Interactive Net Zero Energy Buildings: An Indian Perspective

The white paper titled ‘Grid-Interactive Net Zero Energy Buildings – An Indian Perspective’ is developed on the foundation of ZerO-In Dialogues, and it establishes the role of buildings in grid decarbonization. (The ZerO-In Dialogues were launched in 2021-2022 to create a transformative push towards grid-interactive net-zero energy buildings).

The white paper discusses India’s transition to zero-energy buildings, the development of smart grids, and the role of buildings in grid modernization. It offers a detailed understanding of grid-interactive net-zero energy buildings, highlighting their benefits and opportunities. The white paper also talks about the ZerO-In program, which aims to drive the transition towards G-NZEBs. These buildings exhibit high performance, low environmental impact, and offer flexible services. This will be possible through:

• Availability, accessibility, affordability and awareness of design tools.
