Financial assistance in the form of interest free loans and subsidies are given to end users and building owners to encourage use of energy efficient technologies and practices in buildings. The schemes are implemented by SDAs and vary in focus areas, end user profile, and type of incentive. Usually the schemes are for financing efficient lighting, electrical equipment, energy audits and implementation of select energy conservation measures.
