Dr. Bhaskar Natarajan is currently the Deputy Chief of Party, Energy Efficiency, PACE-D, Technical Assistance Program. A Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (1985) with specialization in Energy Management (recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. by the Association of Indian Universities), Dr. Natarajan completed his Bachelors in Electrical from the Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, University of Bombay (1976).
Dr. Bhaskar Natarajan has worked for over twenty five years in climate change, renewable energy, energy efficiency and environment sectors and allied areas. His key career experience areas include analysis of policy issues in the field of energy and environment, climate change related issues and environmental issues relating to in the energy sector, reforms and restructuring of the power sector, programme implementation for energy efficiency and renewable energy, Power sector regulation and private sector participation, energy efficiency project implementation, monitoring and assessment, techno-economic analysis of energy sector projects & market mechanisms for energy conservation and energy efficiency projects and programmes.
In the past, Dr. Natarajan has worked on projects, supported by World Bank, USAID, ADB, UNDP and DFID among others. He has been a part of a number of official government and industry committees of energy and environment and has written and published in various national and international journals and publications.
Prior to his present position, he has been an Advisor with the IT Power India and Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy, Managing Director of C-Quest Capital Green Ventures P. Ltd. And Country Coordinator, USAID Eco-Asia Project.
