The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is an agency established under the Ministry of Power to develop programs for increasing the conservation and efficient use of energy in India. BEE coordinates with designated consumers and other organizations to create awareness on energy efficiency and conservation and develop the required norms.
This website was launched in 2015 under the USAID Partnership to Advance Clean Energy – Deployment (PACE-D) Technical Assistance (TA) Program, in partnership with BEE.
Environmental Design Solutions (EDS) is a sustainability advisory firm specializing in the built environment. Since 2002, it has delivered over 800 green building and energy efficiency projects globally. EDS’s multidisciplinary team focuses on climate policy, energy-efficient design, building codes, simulations, and green certifications.
The NZEB Knowledge Portal, launched in 2015, was maintained under the USAID Market Integration and Transformation Program for Energy Efficiency (MAITREE) from 2017 to 2022, and the South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (SAREP) from 2023 to 2025. During this period, the NZEB Knowledge Series and ZerO-In Dialogues on grid-interactive net-zero energy buildings were initiated, resulting in 50+ curated webinars covering policy, design, technology, and occupant engagement. The portal is currently supported by Environmental Design Solutions (EDS), a sustainability advisory firm focused on the built environment.
