SUMMARY:Green Conversations : PUMA Retail Store & Headquarters for KPCL
DESCRIPTION:The PUMA retail store that is part of a larger space has notable features such as Building Integrated Photovoltaic system\, earth air tunnel system for space conditioning\, high-performance glazing\, insulated walls among others. The Headquarters of Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd located in Raichur also features the earth air tunnel system for space conditioning along with other passive design strategies. Hear architect Meghana Dutta share the interesting journey\, process and challenges of executing both these projects. \nThis webinar is part of ‘NZEB Knowledge Series’ – an initiative supported by USAID’s MAITREE program (http://maitree.edsglobal.com) to accelerate the discussions on Net Zero Energy Buildings in India. This webinar-series will bring industry experts to share knowledge\, expertise\, ideas and showcase innovative products/projects/technology that can fuel discussions on building energy efficiency and grow engagement for NZEBs. \nRegister now https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5363799649962354189

SUMMARY:Approach and strategies for a large scale net zero development : IIT-Jodhpur
DESCRIPTION:The master plan for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) campus at Jodhpur is an example of how Net Zero Energy development is scalable. Presently under construction\, the 860 acre campus is designed to become almost fully self-sufficient with net zero water\, energy and waste by the final stage of the project in around 2025. It is hoped that the IIT-Jodhpur campus\, as well as being an exemplary desert settlement\, will provide a blueprint for campuses and cities worldwide\, especially those in extreme climatic conditions. \nHear architect Sanjay Prakash (Owner\, SHiFT) explain the concept\, approach and strategies towards developing this large scale Net Zero development in this live webinar. \nThis webinar is part of ‘NZEB Knowledge Series’ – an initiative supported by USAID’s MAITREE program to accelerate the discussions on Net Zero Energy Buildings in India. This webinar-series will bring industry experts to share knowledge\, expertise\, ideas and showcase innovative products/projects/technology that can fuel discussions on building energy efficiency and grow engagement for NZEBs. \nRegister now: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5988829129202402060

SUMMARY:Green journey of INFOSYS: High performance with low environmental impact
DESCRIPTION:Can growth be decoupled from resource consumption? The answer is Yes! Infosys is leading the way and showing the world how this has been achieved successfully and that it makes business sense. A forerunner among corporates\, the team at Infosys adopts a data-driven approach to manage energy\, water\, waste\, occupant comfort\, indoor air quality\, biodiversity\, renewable energy generation and overall performance of all buildings across campuses. \nOver a decade\, Infosys has demonstrated the feasibility of cutting edge technologies by questioning the assumptions\, setting very high-efficiency benchmarks\, extensive metering and monitoring the facilities and investing in research. From retrofitting their existing infrastructure for improving energy efficiency\, developing guidelines for ultra high-performance new buildings to mapping their carbon footprint across the organization – Infosys has been a trendsetter. The Infosys model can also be emulated by other corporates/organizations to successfully achieve a low carbon-high growth scenario. \nIn this webinar\, Guruprakash Sastry – Regional Manager\, Infrastructure at Infosys will share the story of how the company has become a global leader in environmental sustainability and how they continue to break the barriers. \nAbout the speaker:\nGuruprakash Sastry is responsible for ensuring energy efficiency in the new buildings/campuses of Infosys\, green building certifications\, research projects on building efficiency\, building envelope optimization\, etc. His previous experience has been with companies such as Johnson Controls and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). \nRegister now : https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5307034063949060877

SUMMARY:Overview | USGBC LEED Zero Program
DESCRIPTION:In developing the LEED Zero program\, USGBC recognized two market realities: the design and delivery of zero energy buildings is becoming increasingly attainable for project teams around the world; and organizationally\, USGBC has an incredible opportunity to help shape this growth by defining industry leadership – for zero carbon\, zero water and zero waste in addition to zero energy – and recognizing green buildings achieving net zero in operations. \nUSGBC staff member Emma Hughes will present the LEED Zero program\, including the program requirements and process for pursuing certification\, and highlight opportunities and challenges for buildings pursuing net zero goals. Emma will also discuss future anticipated development of LEED Zero\, including usability improvements and updated program requirements that reflect technological and market advancements. \nRegister now: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/8147667433998852620 \n
