SUMMARY:ASHRAE HeadQuarters NZE Renovation
DESCRIPTION:ASHRAE has purchased a 67\,000 square-foot building near Atlanta\, GA and is currently working to retrofit the 1970s era stock into a net zero facility. The new\, renovated facility will become a showcase for the latest HVAC&R equipment and technology\, providing a destination venue for industry visitors to experience state-of-the-art technology installed and “in action” in a built environment. \nAbout the speaker:\nShreshth Nagpal is a Principal at the Integral Group\, that is providing engineering design and analytics services for this project. \nShreshth’s professional focus over the past fifteen years has been to understand and model building performance that results from the interaction between envelope configuration\, climatic context\, functional requirements\, conditioning systems\, and occupant behavior. More recently\, his doctoral research focused on developing automated workflows to construct living urban energy models that are designed to systematically explore future energy scenarios and identify areas of maximum potential savings.
